Providing Free Advice and Support

The North East Asbestos Support and Awareness Group is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a comprehensive advice service for asbestos sufferers and their families. NASAG is supported by volunteers and our services are offered completely free of charge.

Since 2002 NASAG has grown rapidly in both stature and experience. All of our volunteers have personal experience in dealing with asbestos related diseases including mesothelioma.

Founded by the late Frank Gray, NASAG has now given support and advice to over one thousand clients and helped obtain £1.5million in compensation.

What is Asbestos?
Asbestos is the name used to describe a group of natural mineral fibres that are known for their strength and fire-resistant properties.

Asbestos has been used in thermal insulation and fire proofing for the construction industry.

There are 5 forms of asbestos related lung disease.

The likely benefit and effectiveness of any treatment will depend on the type of disease you have, so it is important that the particular type of disease is identified as early as possible.
